Go Green With Snaidero Kitchens
From its inception, Snaidero has dedicated its resources to product research and innovation activities involving the most prestigious names in international design, to develop new technologies with low environmental impact.
At the manufacturing level, the company strives to control and recycle waste by using toxic free and eco-friendly materials in both production and packaging.
In 2003, Snaidero became one of the few Italian companies to be awarded the international environmental certification UNI EN ISO 14001 for its constant dedication towards implementing the best procedures to manage all environmentally-sensitive activities. Snaidero is also ISO 9001 certified for Quality Management. System. These certifications are endorsed by The International Certification Network (IQNet), RINA, and CISQ.
Utilizing furniture that follows green design practices, such as Snaidero cabinetry, can contribute points toward the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification process.

USGBC
Snaidero USA is a member of the United States Green Building Council, a non-profit organization committed to expanding sustainable building practices. USGBC is “the nation’s foremost coalition of leaders working to transform the way buildings and communities are designed, built and operated, enabling an environmentally and socially responsible, healthy, and prosperous environment that improves the quality of life.”
UNI EN ISO 14001
Awarded to Snaidero Rino (Italy-based kitchen cabinet manufacturer) by IQNet (International Certification Network) and its Italian partner CISQ/RINA. This certification:
- Ratifies the compliance of Snaidero’s organizational and manufacturing systems with the strict provisions issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
- Determines the company’s ability to deal with emergencies that may cause harmful consequences for the environment. ISO is the world’s largest developer and publisher of International Standards, a network of the national standards institutes of 157 countries.

Low Formaldehyde Emissions
Snaidero utilizes wood panels made with low formaldehyde emitting glues and resins, in compliance with the LFE E1 international certification.
Low-VOC Paints
Snaidero uses a highly effective varnish characterized by very low levels of organic solvents or volatile organic compounds (VOC). This type of varnish minimizes the release of toxic substances into the atmosphere.
- In the production of its matte lacquer cabinets, Snaidero uses water-based paints that guarantee extremely low environmental impact and health protection.
- Snaidero is also adopting new lines of water-based coloring (non toxic) for the finishes of its products.
Environmentally Responsible Manufacturing
Procedures implemented by Snaidero at the manufacturing level to limit the ecological impact generated by its production sites:
- Reduction of waste produced by 90% (waste is reused by the company to produce thermal heat energy or given to chipboard panels manufacturers to reutilize).
- Constant recycling of: iron, steel, aluminum-copper, polyethylene, polystyrene, paper, cardboard and wood.
- Water consumption during production: reduced by more than 50% since 1999.
- Fuel consumption: decreased over 80% since 1999.
- Production of non-recyclable solid waste: reduced by 89% since 1995.
